by Natalie Williams

Image: Disney

This portion is regarded as my personal absolute favourites. Written by “bisexual badass” and Archer volunteer Natalie Williams, it pays respect to Keira Knightley along with her invest queer cannon. Queers in many cases are forced to discover what resonates with us within hetero pop culture, Natalie’s ode to Keira is a great exemplory instance of only this.

Keira Knightley was not merely an actress I got a crush on inside my puberty. She had been a female who gave me permission is my personal genuine self.”

Honoring my personal Korean-Australian identity at a drag club in Seoul
by Ellie Freeman

This can be a recently available piece that we severely liked. It paints these a stunning picture of an energetic drag bar in Korea, where pull performers and patrons alike could loudly and with pride celebrate their own queerness. An easy top pick.

Several years of pity, racism, and biphobia had told me that I wasn’t adequate. Perhaps not straight sufficient, queer adequate, lady enough, Asian sufficient, Australian enough. Outside of those walls, we had been sins and illegal. In that drag bar, we danced. We celebrated Korea, we celebrated queerness, and I also celebrated myself personally.

Hetsplaining male bisexuality
by Josh Mckenzie

Not only performed this part introduce me to my personal now-favourite word ‘hetsplaining’, it will an exceptional job of examining the often-erased experience with male bisexuality. It talks to many studies which have been finished with the goal of ‘proving’ male bisexuality, which Josh wonders about. Do they attempt to ‘prove’ heterosexuality also? Are personal encounters inadequate?

This pleads issue: the reason why the aversion to male bisexuality? Do we provide a threat to hegemonic masculinity and as a consequence must certanly be delegitimised?”
